Medicine and Healthcare - Professional Building

Reflecting on the completion of our third year of Northland CAPS Medicine and Healthcare, I am continually impressed with the work these associates have done and all their accomplishments throughout both semesters. In the fall our associates began with learning vital signs, CPR, patient assessment, communication, and professionalism. We had the opportunity to tour departments throughout the hospitals, learn about patient cases, and travel to outpatient facilities to learn about numerous careers. This spring our associates were able to take this knowledge and newly developed skills and incorporate them into their real-world experiences. There have been many highlights for me and I hope you have enjoyed reading about each of their internships. I am looking forward to all that is to come in the 2017-2018 program year.
